The following prerequisites must be met for the insurance to provide cover:

• An excess is charged by the hire company due to damage that occurred to the rental vehicle.
• At least 60% of the costs for the rental vehicle were paid for with a valid Viseca credit card.

• CHF 10 000: World Mastercard Gold, Visa Gold, Flying Blue World Mastercard and Visa Platinum

Items excluded from the insurance cover include the following:

• Damage for which the insurance provider does not require an excess.
• Damage caused by gross negligence on the part of the driver.
• Abuse of alcohol, drugs or medicines.
• Damage to caravans and all types of trailers.
• Damage to taxis, vehicles used as part of a carsharing scheme and driving school vehicles.

In the event of a claim, you are obliged to limit the damage or loss as much as possible. Please contact your car hire firm in order to discuss how to proceed and have a damage report drawn up. Send us the complete claim documentation.

Send the claim form and the following documents to the insurer as soon as possible:

• Damage report from the car hire company
• Final account from the car hire company
• Acceptance/return record
