You’ve been looking forward to your vacation, but shortly before you’re due to depart an emergency occurs making it impossible for you to leave as planned? If you paid for at least 60% of the trip with your credit card, you are insured against unforeseen events before the trip. If you are unable to start your trip or can only start later, you will be reimbursed for cancellation or rebooking costs up to CHF 20 000 per event, as long as the trip does not last longer than 90 days.

Trip Interruption Insurance

What if you have to shorten, interrupt or extend your trip? If you paid for at least 60% of the trip with your credit card, you are insured against unforeseen events during the trip. The insurance reimburses you for the costs of the unused part of your trip as well as additional costs for the return trip and accommodation up to CHF 15 000 per event, as long as the trip does not last more than 90 days.

Medical travel assistance

If a medical emergency occurs while you are travelling abroad, our 24-hour medical travel assistance service offers the help you need and assumes the costs of your return trip, return transport and repatriation as well as medical treatment up to 250 000 per event. Transport Accident Insurance

Transport accident insurance offers compensation in case of accidents resulting in disability or death that you could experience as a passenger on a means of transportation. Insured benefits include compensation in case of disability or death of up to CHF 500 000 per event.

Delayed luggage Insurance

Did your luggage ever fail to arrive at the same time and destination as you? Now help is in sight, because when you travel by public transport, if your luggage fails to turn up within four hours of arrival at your holiday destination, your expenses for the purchase of essential items are covered up to CHF 1 000 per event. To qualify, you must have paid for at least 60% of the trip with your credit card, and it may last no longer than 90 days.

Collision damage excess waiver on hired vehicles

Comprehensive hire car insurance typically covers vehicle damage and theft. In the event of a claim, you usually still have to bear the excess. If you paid at least 60% of the vehicle hire with your credit card, the collision damage excess waiver on hired vehicles covers the excess in case of hire care damage or theft up to CHF 10 000.– per event and is supplementary to the comprehensive insurance.

What if your mobile phone suddenly breaks just after the warranty period expires? If you used your credit card for at least 60% of the purchase and it is worth at least CHF 100, the warranty cover will be extended automatically by 24 months at no extra cost. Under the warranty, replacement and repair costs are reimbursed up to CHF 5 000 per claim

If you paid for at least 60% of your purchases with your credit card and they are worth at least CHF 50, they are insured for 30 days after purchase against theft or damage up to CHF 1 000 per claim.

Did you find your newly purchased television at a better price at another Swiss vendor 14 days later? If you paid for at least 60% of your purchase with your card and the price difference is at least CHF 30.–, you will be reimbursed this difference up to CHF 2 000 per claim.
