Online legal protection

What if you have been deeply insulted on a social media platform, or a photo of you or your child can be found on the internet without your consent? If you happen to become the victim of an internet crime, online legal protection will help you defend your interests. Online legal protection will assert your claims and cover lawyers’ fees and legal costs.

The insurance covers the cardholder (primary, second, additional and partner cards), their spouse or partner living in the same household and children under the age of 25 who are entitled to support, provided they live in the same household or are resident in Switzerland.

The following prerequisites must be met for the insurance to provide cover:

• The insured person has been the victim of a computer or Internet crime or has suffered a breach of privacy or copyright on the Internet.

The following maximum insured sum applies per event and per person:

• CHF 5 000: World Mastercard Silver, Visa Classic and Visa GKB HCD Card.
• CHF 10 000: World Mastercard Gold, Visa Gold and Flying Blue World Mastercard.
• CHF 20 000: Visa Platinum.

There is no policy excess.

The insurance is included in the annual fee for your Viseca card and does not cause any additional costs.
