VisecaOne’s first year: 500,000 registered users and two awards

Zurich, 12 December 2016

Just in time for the first birthday of VisecaOne, Switzerland’s most downloaded credit card app, Viseca can be proud of having over 500,000 registered users. In addition, VisecaOne received two awards at the Best of Swiss Apps Award Night on 16 November 2016, thus achieving the highest distinction of all the financial apps submitted in 2016. Viseca is also introducing additional, innovative functions with a new release of the app, available now.

Viseca Card Services SA, which issues credit cards for the Raiffeisen Group, all the cantonal banks, Migros Bank, Bank Coop and regional banks, as well as for private and commercial banks, has received two Best of Swiss App (BoSA) awards just a year after its launch. It was the only financial app to gain a silver BoSA award in the “Functionality” category, as well as a bronze award in der BoSA “Business” category. VisecaOne thus achieved the highest distinction of all the financial apps in 2016. The BoSA jury’s verdict was as follows: “VisecaOne enables users to manage their credit card accounts on the go, and confirm transactions using the app instead of a password. The app is very easy to use and has a clear layout showing only the relevant information. Anyone with a credit card from Viseca won’t want to do without this app.” But it was not only the expert jurors who certified to the app’s high market-relevance. Since its launch, VisecaOne occupied the top spot in the “Free Finance” category for 46 out of 52 weeks – in both the Apple and Google app stores. These rankings are based on the download figures, which indicate the popularity of an app. The VisecaOne app was developed together with software company Netcetera, while the user experience was designed in collaboration with the Nothing Interactive agency.

Roland Zwyssig, Chief Marketing Officer of the Aduno Group: “We are proud of these awards, as well as the 500,000 registered customers who already place their trust in VisecaOne, and are committed to continuing to create first-class digital services in the future.”

Highlights of the third release of the app

In the recently issued third release, Viseca is introducing some new, innovative highlights for the more than 500,000 users of the customer portal and the associated VisecaOne app. In the related VisecaOne Apple Watch app, an intuitive animation allows users to see the total expenditure on the credit card and the amount still available at a glance, directly on their wrist. It is also possible to confirm payment and login enquiries quickly and securely in a push notification directly on the watch or lock screen of the mobile device. Another highlight of the release is that following a change of device, the app can now be reactivated directly on the mobile device and does not have to be initiated via the web portal.

End-to-end digital customer experience and the highest security standards

With its VisecaOne app, Viseca is systematically pursuing its digitization strategy. Its main aim is to offer cus-tomers an end-to-end digital experience meeting the highest security standards and providing an excellent user experience. The VisecaOne app is the first app from a Swiss credit card issuer to enable real-time transaction notifications for credit and prepaid cards. When the app is activated by a QR code, it is linked to the VisecaOne user name via a digital certificate, providing an additional security feature. After that, all customers need to log in to the VisecaOne app is their password or fingerprint. The app is able to combine the two factors automatically – never before has two-factor authentication been so user-friendly.
