VisecaOne: Switzerland’s most downloaded credit card app now comes with new innovative functions

Zurich, 26 September 2016

Viseca Card Services SA, which issues credit cards for the Raiffeisen Group, all the cantonal banks, Migros Bank and Bank Coop, as well as for private and commercial banks, is introducing new and innovative functions in the VisecaOne app which is already used by more than 400,000 customers. For the first time, payments made with Viseca credit cards and prepaid cards can be called up in the app in real time or received directly as push notifications. The popular online payment solution Viseca Masterpass can now also be managed directly using the app. VisecaOne will replace the current Viseca MyAccount app.

More than 400,000 Viseca customers already use the VisecaOne app – now a new version of the app is to be launched. At the same time, the additional functions included in the new app will result in the replacement of the previous Viseca MyAccount app. Now VisecaOne users can view their spending and available balance in the app in real time. They can also find all important information relating to their card at a glance:

  • Registered cards
  • Additional services provided by the card (insurance policies)
  • Up-to-date points balance in the surprize bonus programme
  • Total amount of current spending
  • Remaining balance available
  • Last transactions
  • Invoices
  • Limit

The new app also offers various management options. For example, the popular online payment solution Viseca Masterpass, which allows users to make fast, secure payments by credit card at over 200,000 online shops worldwide, can be activated directly in the app. Invoice types and alerts can also be managed. Viseca
Masterpass already saves all necessary payment and dispatch data in your digital wallet and ensures optimum protection through multi-stage security processes, so cardholders no longer need to enter their delivery address or card details. In the app, users can also subscribe to new free alerts such as a push notification for transactions in foreign currency. Users can opt to receive these alerts either for all transactions or just for transactions above a certain amount. The alerts can easily be activated or deactivated in the VisecaOne app.

“VisecaOne is a key component of our digitisation strategy. It establishes a digital customer relationship with our 1.4 million cardholders, via which we can subsequently roll out future payment solutions and value-added services quickly and securely, together with our partner and distributor banks”, says Tobias Wirth, Head Digital Products at the Aduno Group.

Secure and user-friendly login

The app meets the highest security standards. Upon activation by means of the QR code, the app is linked to the VisecaOne user name via a digital certificate, providing an additional security feature. After that, all customers need to log in to the VisecaOne app is their password or fingerprint. The app is able to combine the two factors automatically – never before has two-factor authentication been so user-friendly. The additional level of security (second factor) for all actions outside of the app enables users to:

  • make online payments using 3-D Secure
  • access their Viseca Masterpass wallet
  • access their VisecaOne account
  • make changes to their VisecaOne user account

When using the VisecaOne app, customers receive a push notification and can easily monitor and confirm or reject transactions.

Integration into banks’ own mobile banking apps

In the next phase, the new functions of the VisecaOne app will be made available to the distributor and partner banks of the Aduno Group for integration into their own mobile banking apps. This will ensure that the banks’ customers can also access the digital services easily and securely in their bank’s existing mobile banking app using credit cards issued by Viseca. This way, we can offer our customers a fully digitized customer experience across all digital touchpoints. The new functions are available in the app with immediate effect and can be updated via the app stores of Apple and Google.
