Management changes at the Aduno Group

Zurich, 30 July 2020

The Aduno Group has created the position of Chief Information Officer and appointed Rolf Fischer to this new role. At the same time, the Aduno Group has named Stefan Kämpfer as Chief Customer Officer. This move divides the duties of the current Chief Operating Officer, Daniel Anders, who has decided to leave the company for personal reasons.

The Aduno Group has appointed Rolf Fischer (52) as CIO and Stefan Kämpfer (58) as CCO. They are replacing Daniel Anders, who has decided to leave the Aduno Group for personal reasons. As a result, the Aduno Group is repositioning itself in IT & Operations and replacing the role of Chief Operating Officer with the positions of Chief Information Officer and Chief Customer Officer.

The Board of Directors would like to thank Daniel Anders for his long-standing service to the Aduno Group and wishes him the very best for the future, both professionally and privately.

Rolf Fischer has extensive IT knowledge and brings more than 25 years of professional experience to the role. Most recently, from 2018, he was the Chief Information Officer at the insurance company Sanitas Krankenversicherung. He began his career with UBS before moving to Zurich Insurance, where he performed various roles over almost 20 years. Rolf Fischer studied IT at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and holds a diploma in High Performance Leadership from IMD Business School.

Stefan Kämpfer has a wealth of professional experience spanning many years in the payments industry. Since 2003, he has worked for Viseca Card Services SA, most recently as Head of Business Management and Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he worked at Payserv AG and Europay (Switzerland) AG in various roles in issuing and acquiring. Stefan Kämpfer holds a diploma in Business Information Technology for Managers from the Swiss Institute of Business Administration (SIB) and has completed further training within the St Gallen General Management Programme.

Max Schönholzer, CEO of the Aduno Group, says: “Dani Anders has played a major part in shaping the Aduno Group. We are very sad to be losing someone who has been with us for so long. I am therefore particularly pleased that Stefan Kämpfer, a close confidant of Dani Anders, is taking over the Operations division. And in Rolf Fischer we have been able to secure a proven expert for the newly created role of Chief Information Officer. As a result, we will be in an even better position to benefit from advancing digitisation in payments.”

Rolf Fischer and Stefan Kämpfer will report directly to CEO Max Schönholzer. Rolf Fischer will be responsible for the IT strategy of the Aduno Group and its operation. Stefan Kämpfer will be in charge of the operational functions at the customer interface. These include the call centre, back office and anti-fraud unit. Rolf Fischer and Stefan Kämpfer will assume their new duties on 1 August 2020
