Transport accident insurance

Transport accident insurance offers compensation in case of accidents resulting in disability or death that you could experience as a passenger on an insured means of transportation (e.g. bus, train, hire car, plane, ship). 

The insurance covers the cardholder (primary, second, additional and partner cards), their spouse or partner living in the same household and children under the age of 25 who are entitled to support, provided they live in the same household or are resident in Switzerland.

The insurance covers the following means of transport:

• public transport or means of transport
• rental bicycle
• rental motorised bicycle
• rental motorcycle
• rental car (passenger car, minibus, motorhome, camper van)
• rental boat (with sail/engine)
• helicopter
• boat
• ski lift
• taxi

The following prerequisites must be met for the insurance to provide cover:

• The insured person suffers an accident as a passenger in an insured means of transportation, resulting in disability or death.
• At least 60% of the costs for the means of transportation used were paid for with a Viseca credit card.

The following maximum insured sums apply per event and per person:

• CHF 300 000: World Mastercard Silver, Visa Classic, Visa GKB HCD Card and Visa Collect Card.
• CHF 500 000: World Mastercard Gold, Visa Gold and Flying Blue World Mastercard.
• CHF 1 000 000: Visa Platinum

There is no policy excess.

The insurance is included in the annual fee for your Viseca card and does not cause any additional costs.
