Exclusions from the insurance cover include the following:

• Damage caused by gross negligence on the part of the driver.
• Abuse of alcohol, drugs or medicines.
• Damage to vintage cars that are over 20 years old or have not been manufactured for at least 10 years.
• Confiscation, requisition, damage or destruction by a government authority.
• Damage resulting from failure of the insured person to observe the maintenance and operating instructions supplied with the rental car.
• Wear and tear.
• Damage resulting from a breach of the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

In the event of a claim, you are obliged to limit the damage or loss as much as possible. Please contact your car hire company in order to discuss how to proceed and to have a damage report drawn up. Report the accident to the local police as well. Send us the complete claim documentation.

Send the claim form and the following documents to the insurer as soon as possible:

• Damage report from the car hire company
• Final account from the car hire company
• Acceptance/return record
• Police report
