Delayed luggage insurance

Anchorage, Alaska. After a smooth landing, the Boeing 747 slowly taxis to a standstill. The biting cold is almost palpable through the aircraft window. You're all set to participate in the Iditarod, the world's toughest dog sled race.  But where are your suitcases? You wait and wait, but there's still no sign of them and soon you're standing alone, empty-handed at the baggage reclaim. But it's not as bad as it might look – thanks to Viseca's delayed luggage insurance. If your luggage doesn't arrive at your destination within four hours, we will cover the costs of essential clothing and personal hygiene items for the first 24 hours – leaving you free to get on with your adventure.

Delayed luggage insurance covers up to CHF 1 000 for purchases of essential clothing and personal hygiene items for the first 24 hours while you are waiting for your luggage (delay of more than 4 hours). 

The cardholder, spouse or partner as well as dependant children up to the age of 25 living in the same household benefit from the insurance cover.

The following maximum insured amounts apply to World Mastercard Flex Gold (credit option), World Mastercard Gold, Visa Gold and Flying Blue World Mastercard:

  • CHF 1,000 per card and year

There is no excess.

To take advantage of the insurance cover, the following conditions must be met:

  • An insured event occurs
  • Your trip is private in nature and lasts no more than 45 days
  • At least 60% of the trip was paid for with a valid World Mastercard Gold, Visa Gold or Flying Blue World Mastercard
